On Friday, April 12th, the last school day before spring break, NHHS had their last pep rally of the school year. All of our school’s academic clubs and sports teams came to represent their school spirit and celebrate their achievements; however, due to field trips and other school events, many students were missing and the crowd seemed smaller than usual. Nevertheless, the students were excited and ready to watch the amazing performances that the rally had in store.
The rally began with a speech by NoHo ASB to introduce everything; they hosted a few morale-boosting games, such as leapfrog, relay races, and a funny human caterpillar game. Performances for the rally started with a riveting solo a capella performance of the Star-Spangled Banner. Following that, Husky Elite performed a fierce hip-hop routine with their cute, Disney-Pixar themed outfits. Indoor Drumline (IDL) performed Mars, the intense performance which won them 1st place at their Drums Across California (DAC) competition, and the cheer team performed a fun routine to hype up the crowd. Choir sang a medley of nostalgic songs and the NHHS Dance Team performed their bold 'Empowered' showcase piece, featuring recent hits from Cardi B, Ciara, and Ariana Grande. After Dance Team’s performance, the seniors performed their fun and trendy dance that incorporated many viral dance moves, causing quite a reaction from the crowd.
In total, there were three rallies, and the crowd went wild for each performance. The rallies were hyped, pepped, and exuded an exciting, contagious energy. Congratulations to all groups who performed and all of our clubs and teams for their achievements this semester. All of us at the Vector Staff hope everyone enjoyed the pep rallies and we hope you have a fun and restful spring break!
