Prepare for the PSAT

Next Wednesday, all HGM Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will take the PSAT (Preliminary SAT). Pre-registration is on Monday following second period, which means that all classes will be a little shorter than usual. All students taking the PSAT should get here a little earlier than usual to make sure they aren’t late, and they should remember to bring a calculator. A TI-84, TI-84 Plus, and TI-84 Plus CE are all approved; click here for a full list of approved calculators.

For Juniors, this PSAT can qualify you for National Merit Scholarships, so take it seriously.

Seniors are not taking the PSAT. During pre-registration on Monday, Seniors will take their class photo. As well, for them, Wednesday will be a reverse minimum day. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria starting at 9:45; at 10:04, all Seniors report to the Cafeteria for an hour and twenty minutes. After this is a half-hour break; then Period 3; then a half-hour lunch; and finally, periods 5 and 6. Periods 1, 2, and 4 are not meeting on Wednesday.
